Concept 1) What else can you do?
1) Visual Learning Cards 
The first addition to the experience would be to add a horizontal card scroll, in between the regular YouTube homepage and also the YouTube shorts scroll. 
The horizontal cards would prompt the user to know more about the features of YouTube through small hand motion graphics guiding them in the same way how a friend would help you understand an application. 
Further, this feature could be used to teach more advanced functions of the application is easy to grasp visually animated ways. Just like a friend would teach you, which in India is the most common way to learn.

2) Motion Graphic for Confirmation Boxes 
Whenever one saves the video, only a textual box appears currently which would be replaced by an animated one, hence giving more relatable information to understand less digitally aware users.

3) The "Yours" Page 
Replacing the current library page of YouTube with the “Yours” page; adding bigger and more visually accessible cards to downloads and saved videos.
Further adding a location icon for users to view content in their preferred regions.
The intent of this page is to make the user feel more related to the app and can have a page of their own; hence, making them aware of their own creations, downloads, and playlists.

Conclusion
After this intensive research, it was understood that there is a large amount of the population in India that is using the internet to their own advantage and achieving the best out of it. Yet there is still another set of people who are less aware of how to use these powerful features and in what ways they could use them for their own benefit if they choose to.

Abstract
After reading the brief one started questioning where to being such a wide project. Hence to narrow down, one collected facts about the APAC region and Google and what can be the best areas of interest to tackle for the company.

I worked in researching user behaviors in India towards Internet / Google and in finding systemic solutions to enhance and support those behaviors through experience and interface design.
